Seattle engineered a remarkable comeback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a 30-14 hole in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks booked their return to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.

With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their division's race with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the fifth seed with an eleven and four standing.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had two picks but recovered to deliver two touchdown passes, including the tying score to wideout Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at the break before Walker broke free for a long touchdown run for the home side.

Los Angeles defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's initial interception for a big return, leading to a one-yard score by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a spectacular return for a score.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play sent the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his second touchdown in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
